Pumpkin Extravaganza Workout

Google

I created this Pumpkin Extravaganza Workout for a group class I was running this past Halloween. Instead of using a medicine ball we used pumpkins (and of course they had to decorate their pumpkins).

Now I understand it is no longer Halloween and pumpkins may be hard to find but you can still do the workout just use a medicine ball. If you do not have one you can substitute a basketball in its place.

Perform your warm up first - each exercise should be done for 1 minute with as little rest as possible.

  • Walk with an overhead press
  • Walk with a bicep curl
  • Front toe touches
  • Pumpkin swings

Next do your core workout again do each exercise for one minute with as little rest as possible.

  • Bridge hold with chest press
  • Side plank pumpkin on hip (each side)
  • Plank hands on pumpkin

You are going to use a circuit format for your workout. Start at the top perform each exercise for a minute and move to the next. Beginners you may want to take a 20 sec break in between exercises. When you are done take a 1-2 minute break and repeat for desired amount of times.

  • Pumpkin chop
  • Kneeling or full push ups on pumpkin
  • Side toe touches
  • Pumpkin squat overhead press
  • Bent over alternating rows
  • Lunge with alternating twist
